Job Description
Delhi International Secondary School in Karawal Nagar, North East Delhi, seeks a dedicated PRT Mathematics Teacher to join its vibrant academic team. This role focuses on delivering engaging and structured mathematics lessons across Class 6 to 12, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills among students. The teacher will contribute to a curriculum aligned with CBSE standards while adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
The teacher will prepare and deliver daily lessons, conduct classroom activities, and assess student progress through practical and theoretical evaluations. Collaboration with the mathematics faculty and subject coordinators will ensure cohesive teaching strategies, while maintaining discipline and fostering a positive learning environment.
Core duties include:
Teaching mathematics from Class 6 to 12 using interactive and visual aids to enhance student understanding.
Developing and implementing lesson plans that align with the school’s academic goals and CBSE syllabus.
Assisting in conducting exams, quizzes, and practical assessments to evaluate student performance.
Engaging with students to address their learning gaps and provide additional support as needed.
Participating in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and extracurricular activities related to mathematics.
A graduate with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree is essential for this position. A minimum of three years of teaching experience in mathematics is preferred, though recent graduates with strong academic qualifications may be considered. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it will be an added advantage. The successful candidate will receive a competitive monthly salary of Rs.18,000 to Rs.30,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
