Job Overview
Modern Public School is seeking a dedicated Handball Coach for full-time engagement in Kanjhawala. The role involves planning, conducting, and overseeing all handball activities across school teams. You will report to the Sports Department head and coordinate with the school leadership on sports calendar and events.
What You Will Do
1. Design age-appropriate training schedules and weekly plans for U-14, U-17, and senior teams.
2. Organize daily practice sessions at the school’s outdoor handball court in Kanjhawala.
3. Maintain equipment inventory and ensure all balls, bibs, and first-aid kits are available.
4. Scout and recommend promising students from neighboring government schools for talent pools.
5. Liaise with the school’s physical education staff to integrate handball with general fitness programs.
6. Prepare teams for inter-school tournaments like DAV, CBSE clusters, and state-level meets.
7. Document individual player progress and submit monthly reports to the Sports Coordinator.
8. Conduct parent orientation sessions before the start of each academic year.
9. Manage logistics for away fixtures including travel, accommodation, and meal arrangements.
Eligibility
Must Have
Postgraduate degree in Physical Education or Sports Science from a recognized Indian university.
Minimum 3 years of full-time handball coaching experience with school or club teams.
Working knowledge of CBSE or state sports guidelines for student participation.
Familiarity with sports injury prevention and basic physiotherapy protocols.
Ability to communicate effectively in Hindi and English.
Good to Have
B.Ed or M.Ed with specialization in Physical Education.
D.El.Ed or NET/SET qualified candidates will be preferred.
Experience coaching at national-level school tournaments.
TET or CTET certification is a plus but not mandatory.
Local background in North West Delhi or adjacent areas like Kanjhawala.

Excellent time management for balancing practice, academics, and tournament schedules.
Basic data entry skills for maintaining player profiles and match statistics.
