About This Role
Modern Public School in Kanjhawala is looking for a PRT Art And Craft Teacher to shape the creative minds of students in North West Delhi. Your Students
You will teach students from classes 1 to 5 in a lively classroom setting. Most students come from families in Kanjhawala and nearby areas who value creative learning. Many children enjoy art but need structured guidance to explore colors, shapes, and textures confidently.
Day-to-Day Duties
Prepare weekly art and craft plans aligned with Modern Public School’s primary curriculum. Use simple materials like paper, clay, and natural dyes to keep activities budget-friendly yet effective. Conduct interactive demonstrations to show techniques such as origami, collage, and sketching.
Organize classroom displays of student artwork every fortnight to celebrate their progress. This builds pride and encourages peer learning. Keep a stock of basic supplies so projects can run smoothly without delays.
Assign small group tasks where students collaborate on murals or 3D models. This fosters teamwork and reduces classroom noise naturally. Provide quick feedback during activities to correct mistakes early and praise effort.
Maintain a portfolio of each child’s work to track growth over the year. Share these with parents during PTMs to highlight progress. Use simple rubrics to assess creativity, neatness, and participation.
Required Qualifications
Postgraduate degree in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, or Craft Education from a recognized university. B.Ed or D.El.Ed with a focus on art education preferred. Candidates with a background in elementary education will adapt well to the primary classroom.
Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in art and craft for classes 1 to 5. Experience in Delhi-NCR schools is a plus but not mandatory. Familiarity with local student language preferences helps in explaining techniques clearly.
