PRT Science Teacher Job in North West Delhi, Delhi | School Recruitment
The reality of this role
This is a hands-on PRT Science Teacher position at St. Prayag Public School Delhi-34 in Saraswati Vihar, North West Delhi. You will handle classes from Grades 1 to 5, planning daily lessons that make science simple and exciting for young learners. Expect to set up small experiments in the classroom, manage student behavior during group activities, and maintain records of each child’s progress.
What you will actually do
Prepare weekly lesson plans aligned with the NCERT Science curriculum for primary sections.
Conduct practical demonstrations using low-cost materials like bottles, magnets, and seeds to explain basic concepts.
Mark notebooks and worksheets every week, giving clear feedback in red pen.
Organize monthly science fairs or exhibitions where students display models or charts.
Attend staff meetings in the staff room to discuss student performance and classroom strategies.
Cover absent colleagues for short periods if needed, ensuring continuity of learning.
Keep the science corner stocked with charts, specimens, and activity kits.
Participate in PTM evenings to discuss each child’s progress with parents.
Who can do this job
A graduate in Science or related field with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree is required.
Prior experience of at least 2 years teaching Science to primary classes is necessary.
TET/CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Patience to repeat explanations for students who struggle to grasp concepts.
Basic craft skills to create teaching aids from cardboard and paper.
A calm demeanor to handle noisy classrooms without losing focus.
Willingness to attend short refresher sessions during vacations.
