About This Role
Prabhu Dayal Public School is looking for a senior Psychological Counsellor to lead its counselling and student wellness program in Kanjhawala, North West Delhi. This is a full-time administrative leadership position reporting directly to the Principal. The role involves strategic planning, program development, and team coordination across the school’s multiple wings.
What You Will Do
Design and implement a comprehensive psychological counselling framework for students from classes I to XII at Prabhu Dayal Public School. Conduct regular mental health assessments, design intervention plans, and monitor progress through structured documentation. Collaborate with the school leadership to integrate counselling outcomes into school policies and academic planning.
Organize workshops for parents on adolescent stress, exam anxiety, and digital wellness to strengthen community engagement. Coordinate with external psychologists and special educators for referrals and resource sharing when needed. Oversee the maintenance of confidential student records and ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards.
Train and supervise a team of junior counsellors and peer support volunteers across the school’s Kanjhawala campus. Conduct monthly team meetings to review cases, share best practices, and align counselling goals with school values. Represent Prabhu Dayal Public School at district-level mental health forums and parent-teacher meetings in North West Delhi.
Eligibility
Postgraduate degree in Psychology or Clinical Psychology from a recognized university is preferred. Minimum five years of relevant experience in school or institutional counselling is required. Experience with CBT, REBT, or solution-focused therapy is an advantage.
Knowledge of Delhi’s academic culture and familiarity with NCERT guidelines for student well-being is helpful. Fluency in Hindi and English is essential for effective communication with students, parents, and staff.
