About Banyan Tree School | New Delhi

Banyan Tree School, New Delhi, sits on a leafy two‑acre campus on Lodhi Road, just a stone’s throw from Defence Colony. Since its founding in 1986 by the Ram Krishan & Sons Charitable Trust, the school has grown into a close‑knit community of about 1,200 pupils ranging from Nursery to Class XII. The air‑conditioned blocks, solar‑powered green spaces and well‑maintained sports courts give the campus a calm, professional feel, while the STEM and robotics laboratories buzz with the curiosity of students who are encouraged to tinker and experiment.

For teachers, the day‑to‑day rhythm is shaped by a low student‑teacher ratio that allows you to know each child’s strengths and challenges. Lessons are planned around the CBSE framework but there is room to weave in projects, music sessions, pottery work or life‑skills workshops without feeling rushed. Colleagues tend to share resources freely, and the administration makes it clear that collaboration, not competition, is the way forward. Regular staff meetings focus on practical classroom issues, and the school offers modest budget for professional courses that align with its multidisciplinary outlook.

The student body reflects the diversity of South Delhi, with families who value both academic rigour and the broader development of character. Parents are approachable and often volunteer for events, creating a partnership that extends beyond the classroom. Because the school prides itself on individual character building, teachers find themselves mentoring students on everything from ethical decision‑making to leadership in club activities. The atmosphere is supportive rather than demanding; mistakes are treated as learning opportunities, and success is celebrated quietly but sincerely.

If you enjoy designing lessons that blend theory with hands‑on inquiry, and you are comfortable guiding learners who range from the shy newcomer to the confident senior, Bany
