Special Educator Job in South Delhi, Delhi | School Vacancy
Role Summary
Dev Samaj Modern School is seeking a dedicated Special Educator for its campus in Vivek Vihar, South Delhi. The role focuses on designing and implementing individualised education plans for students with diverse learning needs. This Special Educator position plays a key part in shaping inclusive classroom policies and supporting mainstream educators.
Day-to-Day Duties
Conduct detailed assessments of students’ learning profiles and behavioural patterns.
Prepare and update Individualised Education Plans in consultation with school counsellors.
Train and guide classroom educators on adaptive teaching strategies and assistive tools.
Organise resource rooms with sensory and learning aids tailored to different disabilities.
Monitor progress through periodic reviews and share reports with parents and coordinators.
Collaborate with external therapists and NGOs for therapeutic interventions.
Maintain confidential student records and ensure compliance with inclusion guidelines.
Participate in school-wide capacity-building workshops on inclusive education.
Required Qualifications
Must Have
B.Ed or D.El.Ed with specialisation in Learning Disability or Inclusive Education
Minimum 2 years of experience in a special needs school or inclusive setup
Working knowledge of IEPs and assistive technologies
Good to Have
TET/CTET certification in Special Education
Experience with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, or Speech-Language Impairment
Familiarity with CBSE guidelines on inclusive education
Skills We Value

Clear communication with parents, therapists, and school leadership
Organisational ability to manage multiple IEPs and compliance documentation
