Key Responsibilities
As a Career Counsellor at Dev Samaj Modern School, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-on-one career guidance and counseling to students, parents, and teachers to help them make informed decisions about their academic and professional futures.
- Developing and implementing career education programs, workshops, and events to promote career awareness and exploration among students.
- Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders to integrate career education into the school curriculum and extracurricular activities.
- Maintaining accurate records and databases of student career information, including career assessments, interests, and goals.
- Providing resources and referrals to students, parents, and teachers to support career development and exploration.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in career counseling to ensure that our programs and services are current and relevant.
- Representing the school at career fairs, job fairs, and other external events to promote our school and its programs.
- Working closely with the school administration to develop and implement policies and procedures related to career education and counseling.
- Collaborating with other departments to develop and implement programs that support student career development, such as internships, apprenticeships, and job shadowing opportunities.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A postgraduate degree in a relevant field such as education, psychology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in career counseling or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities and
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.
