About This Role
G.d Goenka School is looking for a dynamic Dance Teacher for its vibrant campus in Rajouri Garden, West Delhi. This is a full-time position that involves leading dance activities, coordinating performances, and managing the school’s dance ensemble. The role focuses on fostering artistic expression and discipline among students through structured dance programs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan and execute weekly dance sessions for students across classes, ensuring age-appropriate choreography and skill development.
2. Organize annual school dance festivals and inter-house competitions in collaboration with the cultural coordinator.
3. Train and mentor a team of student dancers for national and inter-school dance competitions.
4. Maintain discipline, punctuality, and safety during all dance rehearsals and performances.
5. Document student progress through video recordings and feedback sheets shared with parents during PTMs.
6. Source and manage costumes, props, and music equipment for dance events.
7. Coordinate with the school’s admin team to align dance activities with annual school calendar.
8. Lead parent-child dance workshops during festivals to strengthen community engagement.
Eligibility Criteria
Postgraduate in Performing Arts, Dance, or Fine Arts from a recognized university. Minimum 2 years of experience in school dance instruction or similar roles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace for event planning and documentation.
Skills We Value
Creative choreography design, knowledge of Indian classical, contemporary, and folk dance forms, strong stage presence, and ability to work with large student groups. Familiarity with event management software is a plus.
