About This Role
This is a senior-level administrative position at Tegh Bahadur 3rd Centenary Public School for an experienced Karate Coach to lead the martial arts program. The role reports directly to the Head of Physical Education and Sports, overseeing curriculum design, student participation, and safety protocols. Strategic planning for inter-school tournaments and belt progression systems falls within this position.
Day-to-Day Duties
Plan weekly Karate sessions for 200+ students across Grades 1 to 12 in Patel Nagar, West Delhi. Maintain attendance records, belt grading logs, and injury reports for Tegh Bahadur 3rd Centenary Public School. Organize monthly inter-house Karate competitions and coordinate with Delhi State Karate Association for external certifications.
Coordinate with the school’s sports coordinator to align Karate sessions with annual sports day events. Conduct parent orientation programs on the benefits of martial arts for child development. Ensure all equipment—mats, gloves, and belts—are stored, sanitized, and accounted for after each session.
Train junior Karate assistants and monitor their performance during classes. Collaborate with the school’s administrative team to integrate Karate into the broader physical education framework. Address parent concerns regarding student progress or discipline in Karate sessions.
Eligibility
Minimum 5 years of hands-on Karate coaching experience in Indian schools or recognized academies. Postgraduate degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or related field preferred. Black belt in Karate with certification from recognized bodies like Karate India Organization or All India Karate Federation.
Knowledge of NCF 2005 guidelines for physical education is desirable. Familiarity with CBSE sports curriculum and local Delhi school sports events is an advantage.
