Job Overview
New Delhi Public School is looking for a Special Educator to manage and lead inclusive education initiatives across the Patel Nagar campus. The role involves designing, implementing, and monitoring individualised learning plans for students with diverse learning needs. Collaboration with parents, therapists, and classroom educators forms a key part of the position to ensure holistic support.
What You Will Do
Develop and maintain Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) for each identified student in coordination with school counsellors and external experts.
Monitor progress through regular assessments and adjust learning strategies as required.
Organise and conduct in-service training for staff on inclusive teaching practices and classroom adaptations.
Maintain accurate records of student development, interventions, and outcomes for administrative reviews.
Liaise with parents to share progress updates and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
Coordinate with external agencies such as occupational therapists and speech pathologists for specialised support.
Oversee the allocation and utilisation of resources for special education within the school budget.
Report directly to the Head of Inclusion and participate in school leadership team meetings.
Required Qualifications
Postgraduate degree in Special Education or a related field from a recognised Indian university.
B.Ed or D.El.Ed with a specialisation in inclusive education or learning disabilities.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a school or educational setting handling special needs.
Familiarity with CBSE guidelines on inclusive education and RTE Act provisions.
Preferred Skills
Strong leadership in guiding teams and managing diverse classroom environments.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with parents, staff, and external professionals.
Organisational ability to handle multiple IEPs, reports, and stakeholder meetings efficiently.

Competitive salary ranging from Rs.20,000 to Rs.40,000 per month based on qualifications and experience.
