Job Overview
We need a Carrom Coach who can build a high-energy carrom culture across grades 6-12. The role involves scheduling practice sessions, mentoring junior players, and coordinating with the games coordinator to ensure equipment stays in top condition. You will represent the school at district and state carrom meets, keeping the trophy cabinet growing.
Key Responsibilities
Organize morning and evening practice slots for 40+ students without clashing with academic timetables.
Maintain a register of attendance, skill levels, and tournament selections for each player.
Conduct bi-weekly strategy drills that cover board reading, disc control, and psychological endurance.
Liaise with the canteen vendor to provide light refreshments during long weekend camps.
Supervise the storage and upkeep of six carrom boards, ensuring all pieces and powder are available before every session.
Collaborate with the sports coordinator to design an annual carrom calendar that includes inter-house and inter-school fixtures.
Attend parent orientation evenings to explain the benefits of carrom in building concentration and sportsmanship.
Submit monthly progress reports to the principal outlining player improvements and upcoming fixture plans.
Required Qualifications
Graduation in any discipline followed by a postgraduate degree such as M.A., M.Sc, or MBA.
Minimum 3 years of full-time experience in coaching carrom at school or club level.
Familiarity with the rules and formats used in Gujarat State Carrom Association tournaments.
Ability to communicate fluently in Gujarati and English for seamless classroom and parent interaction.
