Job Description
PGT Sociology Teacher Position at Shri O P Jindal Vidya Niketan, Mundra
Teach Sociology at the senior secondary level in a well-equipped school environment in Mundra, Kachchh. Design and deliver engaging classroom lessons covering core sociological theories, research methods, and contemporary social issues relevant to the curriculum. Utilize interactive teaching techniques to foster critical thinking and analytical skills among students.
Hold regular parent-teacher meetings to discuss student progress and address academic or behavioral concerns. Collaborate with the faculty to develop interdisciplinary projects that integrate Sociology with other subjects where applicable. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and participation as per school policies.
Ensure compliance with the school’s academic calendar, including end-of-semester examinations and continuous evaluation procedures. Participate in school-wide activities, including cultural events and community outreach programs, to enhance the school’s social and academic ethos. Work in a full-time capacity with a monthly salary ranging from Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 45,000.
Hold a postgraduate degree in Sociology or a related discipline. Possess a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) with at least two years of teaching experience. Experience in Sociology teaching is mandatory.
