Planning of lesson plans, assessment of student progress, and preparation of reports for parents and senior teachers are integral parts of the job. The teacher will also facilitate science clubs, coordinate school science fairs, and assist in the development of interdisciplinary projects that link science with real‑world applications. Maintaining a safe laboratory environment and ensuring all safety protocols are followed during experiments is mandatory. Collaboration with fellow teachers to integrate cross‑curricular activities and participation in faculty meetings to refine instructional strategies are expected. Additionally, the teacher will mentor junior staff and contribute to the continuous improvement of the science department.
Qualification and experience
Candidates must hold a post‑graduate degree in a relevant field and possess a minimum of four years of teaching experience in a secondary school setting. A B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is required, with TET or CTET considered an advantage. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in modern science pedagogy, strong communication skills, and a commitment to student development.
