Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging English lessons for classes as per the school curriculum, using a mix of textbooks, multimedia and interactive activities. Assess student progress through classwork, assignments and periodic tests, providing constructive feedback to help learners improve. Maintain classroom discipline, create a supportive learning environment and encourage participation from all students.
Weekly Activities
Prepare lesson plans and teaching aids for the upcoming weeks, aligning them with the syllabus and assessment schedule. Conduct regular reading, writing, speaking and listening sessions, incorporating group work and individual tasks. Participate in faculty meetings, share best practices and collaborate on cross‑subject projects or school events.
Recurring Duties
Mark daily assignments, quizzes and homework, updating student records in the school’s system. Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student performance, attendance and any concerns. Attend periodic professional development workshops and school‑wide activities such as cultural festivals and sports days.
Periodic Responsibilities
Design and administer term‑end examinations and contribute to the preparation of internal assessment reports. Take part in curriculum review meetings and suggest improvements based on classroom experience. Occasionally supervise extracurricular English clubs, debates or literary competitions.
