Experience & Qualification
Minimum 2 years of experience in store management, stock control or related logistics functions. A graduate degree is required; teaching qualifications such as B.Ed/D.El.Ed are not applicable for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee receipt, verification and storage of all school supplies, stationery, laboratory equipment and maintenance items.
- Maintain accurate stock registers, issue vouchers and update digital inventory system to reflect real‑time availability.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts, reconcile discrepancies and prepare monthly reports for the school administration.
- Coordinate with vendors for timely delivery, negotiate rates where appropriate and ensure compliance with school procurement policies.
- Ensure proper labeling, segregation and safe storage of hazardous materials as per safety guidelines.
- Assist the finance department in processing invoices related to store purchases and returns.
- Support event and activity planning by providing required materials and ensuring that all items are accounted for before and after use.
Required Skills
Strong organizational ability, attention to detail and proficiency in basic computer applications such as MS Excel. Good communication skills to interact with teachers, support staff and external suppliers. Ability to work independently while adhering to school procedures.
Preferred Attributes
Knowledge of school‑level inventory requirements, familiarity with Gujarat state procurement norms and a proactive approach to problem solving.
