PGT History Teacher Job in Ambala, Haryana | School Recruitment
Alpine Public School in Ambala Cantt invites applications for a dedicated PGT History Teacher to join our esteemed team. This role focuses on delivering high-quality history education to students in Class 11 and 12, fostering critical thinking and cultural awareness through engaging lessons. Daily Responsibilities
Plan and conduct engaging history lessons, ensuring alignment with the CBSE curriculum. Prepare interactive classroom activities, such as debates, document analysis, and field trips, to bring history to life for students. Maintain organized lesson plans and teaching aids, including maps, timelines, and multimedia resources. Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them grasp historical concepts effectively.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop and assess student projects, such as research papers or presentations, focusing on themes like India’s freedom struggle or ancient civilizations. Collaborate with the history department to organize school events, such as guest lectures by historians or cultural fairs, to enrich learning experiences. Participate in parent-teacher meetings to discuss student performance and academic growth. Ensure all teaching materials and assessments are updated to reflect current historical research and curriculum standards.
Periodic Responsibilities
Coordinate with the principal to review and update the history syllabus to ensure relevance and engagement. Attend departmental meetings to discuss teaching strategies and share best practices with fellow history teachers. Represent Alpine Public School at local educational forums or workshops related to history education, if applicable.
Qualification and Experience
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a postgraduate qualification in History or a related subject. A minimum of three years of teaching experience, preferably in senior secondary classes, is essential. While TET/CTET certification is preferred, it is not mandatory for this position. Strong command of English and Hindi is required for effective communication with students and parents.
Salary and Location
The selected candidate will be offered a monthly salary of Rs.30,000 to Rs.55,000, along with other benefits as per Alpine Public School’s policies.
