About Nand Lal Geeta Vidya Mandir Sr Sec School | Ambala

Nand Lal Geeta Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School has been a familiar sight on the 10.3‑acre stretch of Jawahargarh Road in Tepla, Ambala since its doors first opened in 1996. Though it is just over two decades old, the school feels like a part of the town’s fabric, its name spoken with a kind of quiet pride by generations of families who have watched their children grow there. Managed by the Nand Lal Geeta Vidya Mandir Samiti and guided by the values of Vidya Bharati Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Sansthan, the institution has always tried to balance the modern demands of a CBSE and BSEH curriculum with the cultural rhythms that define life in Haryana.

Our guiding principle is simple: education should shape character as much as intellect. Every day we encourage students to ask questions, to respect each other, and to understand the responsibility that comes with learning. The classrooms are equipped with up‑to‑date laboratories, a well‑stocked library and an IT suite that let learners experiment and explore beyond the textbook. At the same time, festivals, folk songs and stories of our heritage are woven into school life, reminding children that knowledge is most meaningful when it is rooted in the world they belong to. Teachers here see themselves as mentors, not merely transmitters of information, and they spend time getting to know each student’s strengths and challenges.

Life at NLGVM is a blend of study, sport and community. The campus boasts a swimming pool, fields for cricket and football, and a range of indoor games, so students can unwind and build teamwork after a day of lessons. Those who come from nearby villages or towns benefit from our hostels and a fleet of buses that criss‑cross the district, making the school accessible to a wide neighbourhood. Parents often speak of the confidence they see in their children when they return home—confidence that comes from a solid grounding in science, commerce or arts, and from the sense that they are part of a supportive, values‑driven family that has been part of Ambala’s story for more than twenty years.
