Role Summary
The PRT Music Teacher will plan and deliver graded music lessons for classes 1 to 5, integrating vocal and instrumental skills as per CBSE guidelines. Day-to-Day Duties
Conduct daily 40-minute music periods with clear learning objectives and no idle time.
Arrange weekly practice slots for students interested in tabla, harmonium, and keyboard.
Prepare class-wise repertoire lists aligned to the school’s annual performance calendar.
Organise two house-level music competitions every term to build stage confidence.
Collaborate with art and dance teachers for thematic school assemblies.
Maintain attendance registers and submit progress notes every Friday.
Coordinate annual music day where each class performs for parents and peers.
Keep the music room stocked with basic instruments and sheet music.
Required Qualifications
Graduate in any discipline from a recognised university.
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) completed.
One year of full-time teaching experience in primary classes.
Preference will be given to candidates with TET or CTET certification.
