PGT Economics Teacher Position at Suncity School, Gurugram
Suncity School in Gurugram seeks a dedicated PGT Economics Teacher to join its faculty and inspire students with a strong foundation in macro and microeconomic principles. This role requires expertise in designing engaging lesson plans, fostering analytical thinking, and aligning curriculum with modern economic trends. The Economics faculty member will report directly to the subject coordinator, working closely with department heads to ensure alignment with academic standards. This position involves teaching high school students, preparing them for competitive exams, and mentoring those pursuing further studies in commerce or related fields.
Core Duties
Teaching Economics at the postgraduate level, covering syllabus topics like supply and demand, economic systems, and global trade. Developing interactive classroom activities, case studies, and project-based learning to enhance conceptual understanding.
Creating and reviewing lesson materials, including worksheets, powerpoint presentations, and assessment tools to measure student comprehension. Collaborating with the school’s curriculum team to introduce innovative teaching methods and adapt syllabi as needed.
Engaging with parents and students to address academic concerns and encourage participation in extracurricular economic clubs or debates. Maintaining accurate attendance records, attendance reports, and student progress tracking as per school policies.
Qualification and Experience
A postgraduate degree in Economics with a specialization in relevant areas, such as microeconomics, macroeconomics, or applied economics. Minimum four years of teaching experience at the high school or postgraduate level, preferably in a reputable institution.
Possession of a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree is mandatory for this role. Strong command of the English language for effective communication with students and stakeholders. Familiarity with educational technology tools and digital learning platforms is an asset.
Compensation and Location
The selected candidate will be offered a competitive salary of Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 50,000 per month, along with additional benefits as per school policy. The position is based in Gurugram, Haryana, offering a convenient location with access to educational and professional opportunities.
