Role Summary
Maitree International School invites applications for a full-time PRT Music Teacher Vacancy in Gurugram. The position is designed for a graduate with two years of Music Teaching Job in Gurugram, Gurugram. The role focuses on nurturing students’ interest in Indian and Western music traditions through structured classroom sessions.
Pedagogy and Tools
Lessons will blend vocal training, instrumental practice, and music theory using keyboards, percussion instruments, and digital tools. Students record performances on tablets for self-assessment and peer feedback. Annual school concerts and inter-house competitions provide practical platforms for learning.
What You Will Do
Conduct daily 45-minute sessions for classes I to V covering ragas, scales, rhythm patterns, and simple compositions. Prepare students for Inter-School Music Festivals and CBSE Expression Series entries. Organize bi-monthly listening sessions where students analyze film songs, bhajans, and classical pieces. Maintain a music corner stocked with notation books, audio samples, and instrument accessories. Collaborate with the art teacher to design cross-curricular projects linking music to festivals and historical events. Supervise the school choir of 30 students, scheduling weekly rehearsals and costume fittings for annual day. Document student progress in portfolios with audio/video evidence and written observations. Communicate progress to parents through quarterly feedback sheets and WhatsApp groups.
Required Qualifications
Graduation in Music (BA Music) with two years of Music Teacher Recruitment in Haryana experience. B.Ed or D.El.Ed from a recognized institution is mandatory. Candidates holding CTET Paper-II qualification will be preferred.
Preferred Skills
Proficiency in Hindustani and Western vocal styles, keyboard playing, and basic tabla. Ability to notate songs in both systems and adapt lessons for varied learning levels. Experience in composing simple school anthems and jingles for events adds value.
