Prepare daily lesson plans based on the curriculum while adapting teaching methods to engage diverse learning styles. Monitor student progress through periodic assessments and provide timely feedback to help them grasp complex topics. Maintain a structured classroom environment, enforcing discipline while fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop and update teaching resources such as worksheets, slides, and practical demonstrations to support Accountancy lessons. Collaborate with the commerce department to align teaching strategies with school-wide academic goals. Participate in departmental meetings to discuss curriculum improvements and student performance trends. Ensure compliance with school policies regarding attendance, grading, and subject-specific evaluations.
Periodic Responsibilities
Assist in organizing school events like commerce fairs, guest lectures, or workshops to enhance students’ practical exposure to accounting practices. Review and revise syllabi as needed to incorporate recent updates in accounting standards and industry trends. Contribute to the school’s annual report by documenting student achievements and subject-specific outcomes.
Qualification and Experience
A postgraduate degree in Commerce or related field with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory. At least two years of teaching experience, preferably in Accountancy or commerce subjects, is essential. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it is highly preferred for this role.
