This PGT Economics Teacher position offers the chance to shape the department’s vision while mentoring younger staff and securing strong board results. Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality Economics lessons for Classes XI and XII, ensuring alignment with CBSE standards and board expectations. Curate lesson plans, assessments, and projects that prepare students for competitive exams and real-world applications.
Own the Economics curriculum across grades, regularly reviewing and updating content to reflect current economic trends and examination patterns. Set internal assessments, mock tests, and revision schedules to maximize student performance in board exams.
Mentor junior Economics teachers, guiding their lesson delivery, resource development, and classroom management. Conduct periodic classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to support their professional growth.
Track student progress through data analysis, identifying gaps and implementing targeted interventions. Maintain accurate records of attendance, marks, and feedback to support academic planning.
Represent the department in school meetings, parent-teacher interactions, and academic forums within Mount View Sr. Sec. School. Collaborate with other subject heads to integrate interdisciplinary projects and enhance student engagement.
Organize Economics-related events such as quizzes, seminars, and field visits to enrich learning beyond textbooks. Encourage participation in Olympiads and other competitive platforms to build student confidence and visibility.
Who Can Apply
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Economics with B.Ed from a recognized university. Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in Economics at the senior secondary level is required.
Preference will be given to applicants with NET or SET qualifications in Economics. Familiarity with CBSE curriculum and board examination trends is essential.
