Role Responsibilities

Utilize interactive teaching methods such as case studies, group discussions, and practical exercises to enhance student engagement and critical thinking.
Assess student performance through written exams, projects, and practical evaluations, ensuring fair grading while encouraging academic growth. Collaborate with the economics department to organize workshops, guest lectures, and field trips to provide hands-on exposure to economic environments, such as local markets or policy discussions. Maintain updated teaching resources, including textbooks, research papers, and digital tools, to support innovative classroom practices.
Engage with parents and stakeholders through regular communication to discuss student progress and economic concepts in a simplified manner. Participate in school events and extracurricular activities to promote a well-rounded learning experience. Act as a mentor to students, guiding them in understanding economic concepts beyond textbooks and fostering a deeper appreciation for financial literacy.
Eligibility
A postgraduate degree in Economics or a related field is mandatory for this PGT Economics Teacher position. Possession of a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is essential for teaching at this level. While TET/CTET certification is preferred, it is not mandatory for this role. Candidates with at least four years of teaching experience in economics or a relevant subject are encouraged to apply.
