Collaborate with colleagues to ensure cohesive teaching standards and student development.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Assess student performance through quizzes, projects, and regular evaluations to track progress. Participate in departmental meetings to discuss teaching strategies and curriculum improvements. Support extracurricular activities like debates, poetry recitals, or literary clubs to enhance language skills beyond the classroom. Stay updated on educational trends and teaching innovations to refine instructional approaches.
Periodic Responsibilities
Conduct parent-teacher interactions to discuss student achievements and areas for growth. Organize workshops or training sessions for fellow teachers on English teaching methodologies. Prepare annual reports summarizing student performance and teaching outcomes for school review.
Qualifications and Experience
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a postgraduate qualification in English or a related field. Minimum two years of teaching experience, preferably in schools with a focus on English language instruction. Possession of TET/CTET certification is highly preferred but not mandatory. Strong command of English (both written and spoken) with creativity in lesson design is essential.
