Core Duties
Teaching basic music theory, including scales, rhythms, and musical notation, to students in grades 5 to 8. Conducting weekly music classes with a mix of theory, singing, and instrumental practice.
Incorporating music into other subjects like social studies or science to highlight cultural significance and cognitive engagement. Preparing and delivering engaging lesson plans that align with the school’s syllabus while encouraging creativity.
Assisting in school events such as festivals, concerts, and cultural programs to showcase student talent. Collaborating with the school’s art and sports departments to integrate music into interdisciplinary activities.
Ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated to explore music. Maintaining records of student progress and providing constructive feedback to improve skills.
Qualification and Experience
A graduate degree with either a B.Ed or D.El.Ed is mandatory for this position. A TET/CTET certificate is preferred but not mandatory. Two years of teaching experience, preferably in a school setting, is required.
Compensation and Location
