About Seth Tek Chand Memorial Public School

When I first stepped onto the campus of Seth Tek Chand Memorial Public School, the red brick façade and the neatly trimmed lawns of the Thanesar campus gave me a feeling of belonging that was hard to describe. The morning assembly, with its soft chants and the rustle of the flag, set a rhythm for the day, and the sight of senior students moving between classrooms reminded me that I was now part of a community that stretched beyond my own family. The corridors smelled faintly of chalk and fresh paint, and the walls were lined with photographs of school events that hinted at a history rooted in the heart of Kurukshetra.

The first year was a whirlwind of new subjects, from Hindi literature that echoed the stories of our region to science labs where we handled simple experiments under the watchful eyes of teachers who seemed to know exactly when to step in and when to let us discover on our own. Mr. Sharma, my math teacher, would pause mid-lesson to ask a question that made me think about the logic behind everyday numbers, while Miss Kaur, who taught English, turned classic poems into conversations about life in Haryana. The classrooms were bright, the blackboards clean, and the schedule balanced enough to give us time for both rigorous study and the occasional cricket match on the playground.

As the years passed, the school’s emphasis on a solid CBSE curriculum blended with opportunities to explore beyond textbooks. In seventh grade I joined the debate club, where seniors coached us on constructing arguments that reflected the diverse voices of our town. The science fair in tenth grade became a showcase of projects that tackled local issues—one group even designed a low‑cost water filtration system for nearby villages. Teachers continued to be the anchor; they remembered our strengths, nudged us when we slipped, and celebrated the small victories that built confidence.

Now, looking back from the senior year, I see how Seth Tek Chand Memorial Public School has become more than a place of exams. It has woven itself into the fabric of Thanesar’s educational landscape, offering a reliable option for families who want a structured, CBSE‑aligned education without leaving the city. The school’s alumni are beginning to appear in local colleges and offices, and the sense that we are part of something larger than ourselves remains strong. The journey
