The Psychological Counsellor will be responsible for creating a safe and supportive space for individuals to share their concerns, providing individual and group counselling sessions, and collaborating with teachers and staff to develop strategies for promoting mental health and well-being. Day-to-Day Duties
The Psychological Counsellor will be responsible for the following key duties:
- Providing confidential psychological counselling sessions to students, parents, and staff
- Developing and implementing strategies to promote mental health and well-being among students and staff
- Collaborating with teachers and staff to develop and implement support plans for students
- Conducting workshops and training sessions on mental health and well-being
- Maintaining accurate records and reports on counselling sessions
- Participating in school events and activities to promote mental health awareness
- Providing crisis intervention and support as needed
- Collaborating with external agencies and professionals to provide support services
- Participating in school committees and meetings to promote mental health and well-being
Eligibility Criteria
The successful candidate will hold a postgraduate degree in psychology or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a fast-paced environment, are essential for this role.
