Core Responsibilities
Plan and conduct engaging English lessons covering grammar, literature, composition, and language development. Classroom Engagement
Actively participate in classroom discussions, group activities, and writing exercises to enhance critical thinking and communication skills. Academic Support
Collaborate with the English department to develop supplementary resources, such as workbooks or digital materials, to supplement classroom learning. Assist students who need extra help with comprehension, vocabulary, or exam preparation. Stay updated on teaching trends and best practices to continuously improve instructional methods.
Administrative Duties
Attend department meetings and contribute to curriculum reviews to ensure English education remains relevant and effective. Prepare and submit monthly attendance records, attendance sheets, and other administrative documents as required. Maintain a clean and organized classroom space to create a conducive learning atmosphere.
Qualifications and Experience
Hold a postgraduate degree in English or a related field with at least four years of teaching experience. Possession of a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree is mandatory. While TET/CTET is not explicitly required, a teaching certificate is highly beneficial. Strong command of English, both spoken and written, is essential for this role.
