PRT Dance Teacher Job in Sonipat, Haryana | School Recruitment

Responsibilities
Plan and conduct engaging dance classes for students from classes I to VIII, ensuring age-appropriate techniques and cultural relevance. Teach foundational dance forms like Bharatanatyam, Kathak, or contemporary styles while integrating movement-based learning into daily lessons. Collaborate with the school’s physical education department to integrate dance as part of extracurricular activities and school events. Prepare lesson plans that emphasize rhythm, expression, and cultural awareness, ensuring alignment with the school’s academic and artistic goals.
Guide students in performing dance routines during school functions, competitions, and cultural fests, fostering confidence and teamwork. Maintain a safe and inclusive environment where students feel encouraged to explore their artistic potential. Attend parent-teacher meetings to discuss student progress in dance and address any concerns related to participation or skill development. Organize small group workshops or workshops for older students to refine their techniques and explore advanced choreography.
Ensure all dance equipment and resources are well-maintained and used efficiently in the school’s dance studio. Work closely with the principal and senior staff to integrate dance as part of the school’s broader educational philosophy, promoting physical and mental well-being. Participate in school-wide initiatives, such as inter-school dance competitions, to represent Dronacharya Model School with pride.
Qualifications and Experience
Hold a graduate degree with a minimum of two years of teaching experience in dance or related subjects. Possess a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) to qualify as a Primary Teacher. Experience in teaching children through interactive and playful methods is highly desirable. Familiarity with state-level teaching certifications like TET or CTET is preferred but not mandatory for this role.
Salary and Location
