The TGT English Teacher will shape how these students read, write, and speak English every day, preparing them for board exams and future opportunities.
Classroom Profile
Classes cover grades 6 to 8 with 35-40 students each, all eager to improve their English communication skills. Students come from varied backgrounds, so the teacher must create lessons that are inclusive yet challenging.
Day-to-Day Duties
Plan and deliver English lessons for grades 6 to 8 aligned with CBSE guidelines. Prepare weekly unit tests, monthly assessments, and term-end exams to track progress.
Conduct remedial sessions for students struggling with grammar or comprehension. Organize reading circles and creative writing activities to build confidence in spoken and written English.
Use audio-visual aids and digital tools to make lessons interactive and engaging. Maintain student portfolios with writing samples and feedback for parents.
Prepare lesson plans that connect English literature to local culture and current events. Collaborate with subject teachers to plan inter-house English debates and elocution contests.
Who Can Apply
Post-graduates in English with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree are eligible. Minimum three years of teaching English in a secondary school is required.
Preference will be given to candidates who have taught in Haryana schools and understand student needs in the region.
Preferred Skills
