About This Role
Dav Public School is seeking a highly skilled Chess Coach to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing chess programs for students, staff, and the wider community. As a Chess Coach, you will be an integral part of the school's administration team.
Day-to-Day Duties
1. Develop and implement chess programs for students and staff.
2. Organize and conduct chess tournaments and events.
3. Provide coaching and training to students and staff.
4. Promote chess as a hobby and game among students and staff.
5. Collaborate with teachers to integrate chess into the curriculum.
6. Develop chess-based projects and activities for students.
7. Conduct assessments and evaluations to improve chess programs.
8. Maintain records of chess achievements and progress.
9. Represent the school in chess competitions and events.
Who Can Apply
Must Have:
- A post-graduate degree (M.A., M.Sc.)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in chess coaching or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Good to Have:
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification
- NET or SET certification
- Experience in working with children and teenagers
- Knowledge of chess tactics and strategies
