ACCOUNTANT Job in Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh | School Vacancy
Job Title
ACCOUNTANT Job in Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh | School Vacancy. The role is based at International Delhi Public School | Cherukupalli in Cherukupalle, Bapatla and reports to the School Principal and Finance Committee.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations for the school, including receipt and payment processing, bank reconciliations and maintenance of ledgers.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with Indian accounting standards and school audit requirements.
- Oversee fee collection, scholarship disbursement and payroll for teaching and non‑teaching staff, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
- Coordinate with the accounts department of the DPS network for inter‑school transfers, grants and statutory compliance.
- Monitor cash flow, prepare cash budgets and advise the management on cost‑saving measures specific to school facilities and events.
- Maintain statutory registers for PF, ESI and professional tax, and file returns within prescribed timelines.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants and government bodies for inspections and compliance checks.
- Generate periodic financial reports for the School Management Committee and support decision‑making for infrastructure upgrades and extracurricular programs.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial records, vouchers and receipts as per school policy.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate degree in Commerce, Accounting or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience handling accounts for an educational institution or similar organization.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks or SAP and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Good understanding of GST, income tax and school‑specific financial regulations.
- Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and ethical approach to confidential financial data.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: Rs.30,000 - Rs.40,000 per month, payable on a monthly basis.
