About This Role
The Assam Royal Global University invites applications for the position of ASSISTANT PROFESSOR - Cloud Computing. This role is a full-time position based in Guhwati, Assam. Candidates with a minimum of one year of teaching or industry experience in Cloud Computing are encouraged to apply.
What You Will Do
Teach undergraduate courses in Cloud Computing, covering topics like virtualization, containerization, and cloud security. Design and deliver lectures for postgraduate students in advanced cloud architectures and deployment models. Develop and update course curricula in line with industry trends and UGC guidelines.
Prepare and evaluate assignments, lab exercises, and examinations for Cloud Computing students. Guide students in understanding cloud service models such as IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS. Organize workshops and guest lectures to expose students to real-world cloud computing applications.
Assist in the development of laboratory infrastructure for hands-on cloud computing training. Collaborate with department faculty to integrate cloud computing concepts across related subjects. Support students in identifying internship opportunities with local and national cloud service providers.
Postgraduate Students
At the postgraduate level, you will guide students through master’s level courses in Cloud Computing. This includes advanced topics like serverless computing, hybrid cloud strategies, and cloud cost optimization. Supervise student projects on cloud migration, DevOps integration, and multi-cloud environments.
Encourage students to publish their project findings in peer-reviewed journals or present at regional conferences. Assist students in applying for cloud certifications from AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud platforms. Foster a research-oriented mindset by introducing them to current trends in cloud security and governance.
Required Qualifications
A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with at least 55% marks is mandatory. Candidates without a Ph.D. must have qualified UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, or SLET with a postgraduate degree in Cloud Computing or a related discipline. Publications in peer-reviewed journals or conference proceedings related to Cloud Computing are preferred.
Minimum one year of teaching or industry experience in Cloud Computing is required. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of cloud security frameworks and compliance standards.
