Dance (PRT) Vacancy in Madhubani, Bihar
CALCUTTA PUBLIC SCHOOL | RAHIKA
Job Description
This role is for a Primary Teacher (PRT) specializing in dance instruction at Calcutta Public School | Rahika, a reputed school in Madhubani. You will be responsible for teaching dance to students from Class I to V, fostering creativity, cultural appreciation, and physical coordination through structured dance programs.
In this position, your daily tasks include planning and conducting dance classes, incorporating age-appropriate techniques and Indian classical and folk dance forms. You’ll also prepare lesson plans aligned with school curricula, ensuring students develop rhythm, posture, and expression through movement. Collaboration with other teachers to integrate dance into interdisciplinary learning, such as music and arts, will also be part of your responsibilities.
To qualify, you must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). While not mandatory, holding TET or CTET certification will be an advantage. A strong foundation in dance—preferably with training in Indian classical forms like Bharatanatyam or Kathak, or folk dances like Madhubani—will be highly beneficial.
For this role, two years of teaching experience, particularly in dance or physical education, is preferred. Experience in working with young learners and adapting teaching methods for diverse student needs is a plus. Your ability to inspire students through dance while maintaining a structured yet engaging approach will be key.
The salary for this full-time position is Rs.16,000 to Rs.30,000 per month, depending on qualifications and performance. The school is located in Madhubani, Bihar, and the role involves regular class hours, extracurricular activities, and occasional travel for workshops or cultural events.
This opportunity aligns with Calcutta Public School | Rahika’s commitment to holistic education, where dance serves as both an art form and a tool for personal growth.
