Computer Science (TGT) Vacancy in Samastipur, Bihar
St Josph Public School
Job Description
About This Role
St Josph Public School integrates smart boards, Google Classroom, and an in-house LMS to keep every Computer Science class hands-on and current. Students work on live coding platforms, build small projects each term, and submit assignments through the portal—so you’ll be teaching in a tech-rich environment from day one.
How You Will Teach
Lessons blend on-screen demonstrations with physical circuit kits and unplugged activities to balance screen time. You will plan weekly blended sessions where half the period runs on Google Classroom quizzes and the rest on collaborative coding in the lab. Smart boards become your whiteboard-cum-projector, letting you annotate code live and record micro-lessons for absent students.
What You Will Do
Create weekly topic plans aligned to the CBSE Computer Science syllabus and upload them to the school LMS so students can preview before class. Run flipped-classroom modules where learners watch short Python video tutorials at home and solve exercises in the next period under your guidance. Maintain a live question bank in Google Forms for formative assessments every Friday and share auto-analyzed results with parents via WhatsApp groups. Integrate micro:bit and Arduino starter kits into the curriculum to make logic gates tangible and robotics relatable for TGT-level understanding. Organize end-of-chapter hackathons in the lab where teams debug a given program within 30 minutes; winners get their names on the school’s digital leaderboard. Curate a repository of solved past-paper programs on the LMS so students can drill at their own pace before term-end tests. Lead the school’s code-a-thon club every Saturday morning, guiding beginners from flowchart to first working script. Coordinate with the IT technician to keep 25 workstations virus-free and install required IDEs before each new language unit.
Required Qualifications
Graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with B.Ed or D.El.Ed from a recognized institution. CTET or TET qualification is an advantage, though not mandatory for this appointment. Two years of classroom experience in teaching Computer Science at the secondary level is expected.
What Makes You a Fit
You fluently use Google Classroom, Jamboard, and Scratch or Python IDEs without needing orientation every term. You have already run online coding camps or virtual Olympiads for students aged 12-16 and can troubleshoot common student issues over a WhatsApp call. Familiarity with platforms like Code.org, HackerRank for Schools, and CBSE’s official sample papers gives you a ready toolkit to start on day one.
Salary and Benefits
The monthly gross salary ranges from Rs.24,000 to Rs.42,000 depending on experience and qualifications. St Josph Public School also provides annual CPD allowances for approved IT certification courses and covers basic local conveyance within Samastipur city limits.
