Role Summary
Andhra Education Society is seeking a PRT English Teacher for our school in Chanakya Puri, Central Delhi, Delhi. This English Teacher position is responsible for teaching English to students from Class 1 to 8. The selected candidate will be a key member of our school team, working closely with other teachers and staff to provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
What You Will Do
1. Teach English to students from Class 1 to 8, using a variety of teaching methods and resources.
2. Prepare and deliver lesson plans, ensuring that they meet the learning objectives and outcomes.
3. Assess student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
4. Develop and implement engaging and interactive English language programs.
5. Work with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum, and to improve teaching and learning practices.
6. Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities to stay up-to-date with best practices in English language teaching.
7. Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
8. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about student progress.
9. Collaborate with other teachers to plan and deliver integrated lessons.
Eligibility Criteria
Must Have
- B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. degree from a recognized university
- Valid TET/CTET certificate (not required but preferred)
- 3 years of experience in teaching English in a school setting
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and Hindi
Good to Have
- Postgraduate degree in English or a related subject
- Experience of teaching English as a second language
- Knowledge of curriculum and assessment frameworks
- Ability to use technology to support teaching and learning
Preferred Skills
- Strong teaching and classroom management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to new situations and priorities
- Familiarity with English language learning theories and best practices

Salary and Benefits
- Salary: Rs.15,000 - Rs.32,000 per month
- Other benefits as per school policy
