What You Will Do
1. Design and conduct daily basketball training sessions for students of various age groups.
2. Plan and supervise practice schedules, ensuring safety and proper equipment usage.
3. Organise intra‑school tournaments and represent the school in district level events.
4. Monitor player progress, maintain performance records, and provide feedback for improvement.
5. Coordinate with parents and school administration for logistics, travel, and event permissions.
6. Manage the basketball equipment inventory and arrange for maintenance or new purchases.
7. Conduct workshops and clinics with external coaches to enhance skill levels.
8. Uphold the school’s sportsmanship standards and promote a positive team culture.
Eligibility Criteria
A graduate degree from a recognized university is mandatory. Candidates should have at least two years of hands‑on coaching experience in a school or academy setting. Basic computer proficiency for maintaining attendance and performance logs is required. While a B.Ed/D.El.Ed is not compulsory for this non‑teaching role, familiarity with school procedures is advantageous.
Preferred Skills
Demonstrated expertise in basketball tactics, player conditioning, and injury prevention. Strong communication skills to interact with students, parents, and school staff. Ability to organise events, manage budgets, and work collaboratively with the Sports Department. Prior experience in conducting school‑level competitions is a plus.
Salary and Benefits
The position offers a salary of Rs.22,000 - Rs.30,000 per month. Additional benefits include transport allowance, medical coverage, and opportunities for professional development in sports coaching.
