Transport Operations Management
The Transport In‑charge will oversee all aspects of the school’s transportation system for students and staff. Daily duties include planning and monitoring bus routes, ensuring timely pick‑up and drop‑off, maintaining vehicle logs, and supervising drivers and conductors. The role requires coordinating with parents for special requirements, handling emergencies, and ensuring compliance with road safety regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and revise daily bus schedules, adjusting routes as needed to optimize travel time and fuel usage.
- Conduct pre‑journey inspections of each vehicle, verify maintenance records, and arrange servicing when required.
- Supervise drivers and conductors, monitor their performance, and conduct periodic training on safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, accidents, and repairs.
- Liaise with parents and guardians to address transport queries, special pick‑up/drop‑off requests, and grievance resolution.
- Ensure all vehicles have valid permits, insurance, and adhere to Delhi traffic regulations.
- Prepare monthly reports on transport operations for school management review.
