Dance (PRT) Vacancy in New Delhi, Delhi
Springdales School
Job Description
The school community and culture
Springdales School is a place where creativity meets discipline every day. Teachers here aren’t just instructors; they become part of a lively arts community that values expression as much as academics. The corridors hum with energy, especially during morning assemblies and annual day rehearsals, where dance becomes the universal language of joy.
What it's like to work here
You will join a supportive faculty that celebrates each other’s strengths. The dance studio is bright, with mirrors lining one wall and traditional Indian instruments often accompanying practice. Teachers here share resources freely, from costume ideas to choreography notes, making collaboration second nature. Extra time is spent during festivals like Diwali and Holi, when dance takes center stage in school celebrations.
Your role in the community
Plan and conduct daily dance sessions for primary classes, focusing on rhythm, coordination, and cultural awareness. Choreograph group performances for school events, ensuring every child feels included and confident. Introduce children to diverse dance forms, from Bharatanatyam to hip-hop, to broaden their artistic exposure. Organize inter-house dance competitions twice a year to encourage friendly rivalry and team spirit. Collaborate with music teachers to blend dance with vocal and instrumental performances. Maintain discipline during rehearsals while keeping the atmosphere light and encouraging. Document student progress through periodic informal assessments shared with parents. Participate in parent-teacher meetings to discuss dance as a tool for holistic development.
Who fits in here
A postgraduate in Dance or Performing Arts with at least two years of teaching experience will find a natural home here. B.Ed or D.El.Ed is required, and familiarity with school-level dance pedagogy is a plus. Patience, energy, and a knack for making children laugh while learning are essential. Springdales School values teachers who bring warmth to the classroom and can turn shy learners into confident performers.
What you get
Rs.18,000 to Rs.30,000 per month based on experience and qualifications. Enjoy a healthy work-life balance with weekends and school holidays off. Professional development support is available through local workshops and arts festivals. The school provides costumes, music tracks, and props for performances, reducing personal expenses.
How to become part of the team
Send your resume and a short note on your dance teaching philosophy to the HR department at Springdales School. Include links to any past performances or student achievements. Selected candidates will be invited for a practical demonstration and discussion. We look forward to dancing with you soon.
