PRT Science Teacher Job in New Delhi, Delhi | School Recruitment
The reality of this role
Teaching Science at Springdales School means you will handle classes from Grades 1 to 5, breaking complex topics into simple experiments and stories. You will manage a classroom of 30–35 children, keeping them engaged while covering the CBSE syllabus. Every day involves hands-on activities, small group discussions, and quick corrections to keep learning alive. You will also support co-curricular activities like science fairs and eco-clubs.
What you will actually do
Plan weekly lesson plans for Science covering Physics, Chemistry, and Biology suited to primary learners.
Conduct experiments with locally available materials—like making a simple electromagnet with a battery and nail.
Prepare low-cost teaching aids such as charts, models, and flashcards to explain concepts like photosynthesis or states of matter.
Assess students through short quizzes, oral tests, and practical demonstrations rather than written exams only.
Organise monthly science walks around the school garden to observe plant parts and seasonal changes.
Coordinate with the art teacher to create murals on solar system or human body for corridor displays.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, lesson completion, and student progress in the school ERP system.
Participate in PTMs and parent meetings to explain each child’s progress in Science.
Who can do this job
You must have a postgraduate degree in Science with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed.
Two years of teaching experience in primary Science is required.
TET or CTET will be considered an advantage.

Familiarity with CBSE primary Science syllabus and comfort using basic lab equipment.
