Job Description
Teach English as a core subject at Goodley Public School in Saraswati Vihar, North West Delhi. Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum. Develop lesson plans that incorporate modern teaching methods, grammar, literature, and speaking/writing skills. Assess student progress regularly through assignments, quizzes, and projects to ensure growth in comprehension and expression.
Subject Expertise
Mastery of English language and literature at the postgraduate level. Experience in teaching grammar, vocabulary, poetry, prose, and essay writing to diverse student groups. Stay updated on pedagogical trends and educational reforms to enhance classroom effectiveness.
Classroom Leadership
Manage a class of up to 35 students, maintaining discipline while promoting an inclusive learning atmosphere. Collaborate with the school’s English department to refine teaching strategies and share best practices. Act as a mentor to junior teachers when needed.
Curriculum Support
Participate in curriculum development for English, ensuring alignment with national education standards. Assist in organizing school-wide events like poetry readings, debates, or literary fests to boost student engagement. Support extracurricular activities that strengthen English proficiency, such as drama clubs or writing competitions.
Qualification
Hold a postgraduate degree in English or a related field. Possess a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) with a focus on English teaching. Preference given to candidates with a Teaching Eligibility Test (TET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) certification.
Experience
Proven experience of at least four years in teaching English at the secondary or senior secondary level. Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods for students with varying learning needs. Experience in classroom management and student motivation is essential.
Compensation
