The role involves designing and implementing age-appropriate art and craft activities. You will create lesson plans that align with curriculum standards while encouraging creativity, fine motor skills, and cultural expression. Daily classroom management includes supervising group work, providing individual feedback, and ensuring a safe, inspiring learning space.
Teaching responsibilities also include assessing student progress through creative projects and observations. Collaboration with the art faculty and participation in school events like workshops, exhibitions, and parent-teacher meetings will be part of the role. Attention to detail in maintaining organized art supplies and resources is essential.
Qualified candidates should hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a strong foundation in arts education. While not mandatory, a TET or CTET certification will be an advantage. A graduate degree in a relevant field is preferred, though not strictly required.
Experience in teaching Art and Craft to children aged 6-12 is highly desirable, with at least two years of practical teaching experience. Familiarity with modern art techniques, sustainable materials, and inclusive teaching methods will be beneficial.
