What You Will Do
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons to students in grades 6-8
- Use a range of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and needs
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Develop and implement new curriculum ideas to enhance student learning
- Work with colleagues to develop a comprehensive and inclusive English program
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress
- Participate in school events and activities to promote English language skills
- Develop and maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment
- Use technology to enhance student learning and engagement
Required Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification, with a strong background in English language and literature. A TET or CTET qualification is preferred, but not required. You will also need to have at least 3 years of experience teaching English in a school setting.
