About This Role
Montfort School Delhi is inviting applications for the Special Educator Position in North West Delhi, Delhi. You will coordinate with class teachers, counsellors, and parents to create individualised education programmes. The position also involves monitoring student progress through quarterly reviews and maintaining detailed documentation for government and school audits.
Day-to-Day Duties
You will conduct initial assessments of new students with learning differences and recommend appropriate accommodations in mainstream classrooms. Regular staff training sessions on inclusive pedagogy and classroom management will be part of your schedule.
Documentation duties include maintaining confidential student files, preparing progress reports for the principal, and submitting quarterly returns to the education department. You will also represent Montfort School Delhi at local cluster meetings with other Special Educators from North West Delhi.
The role involves supervising a team of three shadow teachers, assigning daily tasks, and conducting bi-weekly appraisals. You will organise resource rooms, procure adaptive materials, and ensure the space is ready for each intervention session.
Required Qualifications
A graduate in Psychology, Education, or Special Education from a recognised Indian university is essential. Montfort School Delhi requires a B.Ed or D.El.Ed with at least four years of experience in special education within a school setting.
Experience with IEPs, shadow teaching models, and CBSE inclusive education guidelines is preferred. Familiarity with local Delhi government policies for children with disabilities will be an added advantage.
