PGT Business Studies Teacher Job in South Delhi, Delhi | School Recruitment
The Indian School | New Delhi invites applications for a PGT Business Studies Teacher to join the faculty in Defence Colony, South Delhi. This role involves shaping young minds with a strong foundation in commerce and entrepreneurship, aligning with the institution’s commitment to holistic education. The selected candidate will play a key part in delivering engaging and industry-relevant Business Studies lessons, preparing students for future challenges in the corporate world.
Daily Responsibilities
Plan and conduct interactive business studies classes, ensuring clarity and practical application of concepts. Prepare lesson plans based on the latest syllabus and curriculum guidelines. Engage students through real-world case studies, group discussions, and hands-on activities to foster critical thinking. Maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages participation and curiosity in commerce topics.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Coordinate with the department head to review and update teaching methodologies based on student feedback and performance trends. Collaborate with other PGTs and subject coordinators to design interdisciplinary projects that integrate business studies with other subjects. Participate in departmental meetings to discuss curriculum improvements and student progress. Assist in organizing school events like career guidance workshops or business simulations for students.
Periodic Responsibilities
Prepare and submit progress reports on student performance in business studies, ensuring alignment with school assessment policies. Conduct regular parent-teacher interactions to discuss student progress and address any academic or behavioral concerns. Participate in in-service training programs to stay updated on educational trends and teaching techniques in business studies.
Qualification and Experience
Hold a postgraduate degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field. Possess a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) with at least four years of teaching experience in Business Studies. Preference may be given to candidates with a Teaching Eligibility Test (TET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) certification. Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for nurturing entrepreneurial spirit in students are essential.
Salary and Location
The selected candidate will be offered a monthly salary of Rs. 40,000 - Rs. 50,000, along with other benefits as per school policy. The role is based in Defence Colony, South Delhi, and the candidate will be expected to adhere to The Indian School | New Delhi’s code of conduct and professional standards.
