PRT Art And Craft Teacher Job in South Delhi, Delhi | School Recruitment
Role
Cambridge School is looking for a PRT Art And Craft Teacher to join its vibrant faculty in Defence Coloni, South Delhi. The position is a full‑time PRT posting focused on nurturing creativity among primary learners.
Professional Scope
The teacher will be part of the primary wing, collaborating with homeroom teachers to integrate art and craft activities that complement the core curriculum. The role involves planning, delivering and assessing hands‑on projects that develop fine motor skills, imagination and cultural awareness.
Most Important Responsibilities
Daily lessons will be designed to meet the age‑appropriate learning outcomes for classes I to V, using locally sourced materials and seasonal themes. The teacher must maintain an organized studio, ensure safety of tools, and display student work in the school gallery to foster pride.
Subject‑Specific Duties
Preparation of lesson plans that incorporate Indian art forms, simple drawing techniques, and craft projects linked to festivals celebrated in Delhi. Conducting workshops during school events, guiding students in using basic drawing instruments, glue, scissors and recycled items. Keeping a record of progress and providing feedback to parents during quarterly meetings.
Institution Expectations
Cambridge School expects the teacher to create an inclusive environment where every child feels encouraged to express ideas. Punctuality, regular communication with the class teacher and participation in staff development programmes are essential. The teacher should also contribute ideas for inter‑school art competitions and community outreach projects.
Qualification and Experience
Candidate must hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed with a graduate degree, and possession of TET/CTET is preferred. Minimum three years of experience teaching art and craft at the primary level is required. Experience in managing a modest art studio and familiarity with Delhi’s cultural calendar will be advantageous.
Salary
The remuneration for this PRT Art And Craft Teacher position is Rs.20,000 - Rs.35,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
