Responsibilities
Teach dance classes covering various styles like classical, folk, and contemporary to students across different grades. Develop engaging lesson plans that align with Apeejay School’s educational philosophy while ensuring age-appropriate learning. Assess students’ progress through practical evaluations and provide constructive feedback to encourage growth.
Prepare and maintain well-organized dance equipment, props, and space to create an inspiring learning environment. Collaborate with other teachers to integrate dance activities into broader school events and cultural programs. Ensure safety standards are followed during all dance activities to protect students.
Qualification
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) with a specialization or related experience in dance pedagogy. A background in dance training, either formal or informal, is highly valued. Possessing a Teaching Eligibility Test (TET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) certificate will be an added advantage.
Experience
Minimum two years of teaching experience in schools, preferably in dance or related arts subjects. Experience working with children in a structured educational setting is essential. Familiarity with curriculum-based dance programs and ability to adapt teaching methods for diverse learning styles is a must.
Salary and Employment Type
The selected candidate will receive a monthly salary ranging from Rs.15,000 to Rs.30,000. This is a full-time position at Apeejay School, located in Saket, South Delhi, offering a dynamic and supportive work environment.
