About This Role
R.s Junior Modern School invites applications for the position of PRT Science Teacher in Defence Coloni, South Delhi, Delhi. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Science to students from classes 6 to 8. Teaching Approach
The PRT Science Teacher will be expected to adopt a practical approach to teaching Science, incorporating hands-on activities, experiments, and projects. The teacher will use various tools and equipment to facilitate learning and make Science accessible to students. The school has a well-equipped Science laboratory where the teacher can conduct experiments and demonstrations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Teach Science to students from classes 6 to 8 using practical methods and experiments.
2. Prepare and deliver lesson plans, ensuring that they are engaging and relevant to the curriculum.
3. Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
4. Maintain the Science laboratory and ensure that equipment is in good working condition.
5. Conduct experiments and demonstrations to illustrate scientific concepts.
6. Encourage students to ask questions and explore scientific phenomena.
7. Develop and implement a Science curriculum that meets the needs of students from diverse backgrounds.
8. Collaborate with other teachers to integrate Science with other subjects.
Who Can Apply
Applicants must have a B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. degree in Science or a related field. A TET or CTET certificate is preferred but not required. The candidate must have at least 2 years of experience in teaching Science to students from classes 6 to 8.
Preferred Skills
- Strong knowledge of Science concepts and theories.
- Ability to design and deliver engaging lesson plans.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff.
- Passion for teaching Science and making it accessible to students.
What You Get
