Collaboration with the curriculum team to integrate Sanskrit into interdisciplinary learning is essential.
Subject-specific duties will focus on making complex Sanskrit concepts accessible through visual aids, storytelling, and interactive workshops. Preparing students for exams like TET or CTET in Sanskrit will be part of your role, especially for those aspiring to teach at higher levels. You’ll also organize cultural events, such as Sanskrit recitals or poetry readings, to foster a deeper appreciation for the language among students.
The Indian School expects a TGT Sanskrit Teacher to be deeply committed to preserving and promoting India’s linguistic and cultural legacy. Experience in teaching Sanskrit to diverse student backgrounds is preferred, though a strong command of the language and pedagogical skills will suffice. Your ability to adapt teaching methods for students from various academic and cultural backgrounds will be key.
For this position, a postgraduate degree in Sanskrit with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory. Four years of relevant teaching experience in schools is required, though recent graduates with exceptional skills may be considered. While TET/CTET is not mandatory, a teaching certificate will be an asset. Your salary will be Rs.25,000 to Rs.35,000 per month, reflecting your expertise and the institution’s commitment to supporting dedicated educators in this vital field.
